Today was raining all day so only one picture. It was also the day of everyone’s birthplace. It started in Kansas City with President Eisenhower followed by President Truman, then General John J. (Black Jack) Pershing, Jessie James, and Mark Twain. Didn’t know Missouri was such an exciting place, did you?
As I was trying to find a hotel I spotted the bridge across the Mississippi River so I quickly went and took the picture below.

Man – that has been one rainy trip! Would you say you have had more rain than not?
About 50/50 so far, much more than I expected.
Wish I’d known you were in Missouri, fellow Schalker! I would have bought you lunch. Did you take Highway 36 across? (Pershing’s birthplace was my tip off). I live just a bit north of St. Joseph. Glück Auf! (Heard about your blog from Schalke’s post about it today on Facebbook.)
