Another rainy morning! Where is summer?
It rained all the way to the Michigan border and just as I thought I would be taking a picture in the rain it stopped just in time.
When you go into Michigan the car factories start and don’t end until you are in Canada. Detroit is an old industrial city that has been dying a slow death for years and it shows. It’s a little sad.
Going into Canada is much harder than it was 16 years ago, the last time I went. I was stopped and asked several questions, as was everyone, but finally I was let in the country. There are no “Welcome to Canada” signs anywhere because they don’t want you to stop so I’ll try to find one going out. I’ll find a small land border crossing to come back if I can.
The area around Delhi, Ontario has a large Mennonite community. I passed several along the road, but with respect to their beliefs, I did not take pictures.
