Today was different, the sun shined!
I started out looking for land borders today, first between Ontario and Quebec and teen to the U.S. I’m really surprised that there are no “Welcome to the United States” signs, same for Canada. All there was at this crossing was an hour wait in line to,get across the border.
Quebec was real different, the roads were bad and the drivers were rude. In Ontario all the road signs were in both French and English, in Quebec they are only in French. I drove through Montreal and turned south for home.
Vermont is called the Green Mountain State and that is what you see. I had not seen a town until I got to Burlington and as I drove into town I thought ” what a perfect little town ” all the grass was cut and the houses were neat. Just like a Currier and Ives painting. A few miles later I found out why, I was driving across Fort Ethan Allen. One of those small Army posts that remain open because of tradition. I don’t really think we are expecting an attack from Canada any time soon.
Hope to find some good picture spots tomorrow.
